What will the cost of BSkyB be for GAA clubs?

Posted on

The GAA has recently signed an agreement with BSkyB to televise important GAA fixtures on a ‘pay per view’ basis.  They will also televise others and, I presume, GAA fans and GAA clubs will have to pay an annual subscription fee to view these as well.

If so, how much will this add to the running costs of already hard-pressed GAA clubs?

Will they have to show other (non-GAA sports) in order to pay for the hefty annual subscription?

Will this lead to GAA clubs being used by non-GAA fans and non-Club members when the other sports are being shown?

Setanta and TV3 have lost out – will your local GAA club lose out too?
